Objectives of the Funds • Overall Goal of the SRCP: reduction of economic and social disparities (EU/Romania, within Romania). • Objectives of the Funds: - promotion of Romanian CSOs in policy processes and as service providers- strengthening the institutional capacities of CSOs- making good use of Swiss knowledge and experience- promotion of institutional partnerships between Romania and Switzerland

Project allocations • Project portfolio:- 61 large grants (up to CHF 250’000) - 73 small grants (up to CHF 75’000)- 7 Retained Activities (CHF 0.23 – 1.3 m) • Total funds contracted:- CSP: 10.1 m for 94 projects- PF: 8.0 m for 40 projects- RA: 4.8 m for 7 projects • Mainly for social projects (elderly, disabled, socio-medical, education) and environmental projects (rural development, climate change, urban development)
Some Management Achievements • 141 projects implemented • 328 monitoring visits conducted • 21Steering Committee meetings held (in Bucharest and via skype) • From paper applications to online applications
Overall Project Achievements • More than 380’000 Romanians benefitted directly from the various activities, indirectly around 6 million people • 47 projects have strengthened partnerships and have benefitted from Swiss experiences • Innovative approaches were introduced: House of experiments, promotion of eco-tourism destinations, bike trails, home care policy, etc.) • 800 Romanian and 120 Swiss experts participated in exchanges and study tours • Numerous tools, policy documents and movies were produced (e.g. WWF’s wilderness movie with 230’000 views on youtube)
Several projects had interfaces with fortified churches: e.g. Viscri Bike Trail, Visitor centre in Cincor and the organ restauration in Stolzenburg Project Case PF - 36 • Professional Education of Organ Builders and Carpenters • - 2 year “master classes” for 5 ex-apprentices (using Swiss experience) • Integrated entrepreneurship training for 3 apprentices (owners of the workshop) • Organisational strategy for COT (the carpentry workshop in Harman/Honigberg) • Mainly salary of the Swiss expert covered
Cooperation with SSOR (Schweizerische Stiftung fürOrgelbau in Rumänien) • Achievements: • Since 3 years the 2 Roman ex-apprentices manage the organ and carpentry workshop • The “master course was completed and 3 new trainees entered the programme • The workshop renovated the organ in Stolzenburg/Slimnic (2016) -> reference project
