The story began in 1993, dramalovers tv reports emerged that North Korea was developing nuclear weapons. Park Suk-Young who is a former South Korean military officer was recruited by the National Intelligence Service (NIS) to infiltrate the highest ranks in North Korea and learn about their programs. He was given the code name "Black Venus". Besides Park Suk-Young, only the South Korean President and NIS Foreign Director, Choi Hak-Sung were aware of the existence of Black Venus. Park Suk-Young then traveled to Beijing, China under the guise of a salesman to withdraw high-ranking North Korean official Ri Myung-Un in a business agreement. Over time, he gained the trust of Ri Myung-Un and was even given the opportunity to meet with North Korean leader Kim Jong-Il. During the 1998 South Korean presidential election, Park Suk-Young found a secret agreement between South Koreans and high-ranking North Koreans. That also makes it conflict. The story dates back to May 1980 and began when a German reporter named Peter who initially served in Japan, immediately went to South Korea to cover in Gwangju after hearing from his friend that something unpleasant happened there. After arriving in Seoul, reporter Peter goes to Gwangju in a taxi, and the person who became the driver is Kim Sa- Bok. Kim Sa-Bok himself is a father who takes care of his daughter by working as a taxi driver. After they arrived in Gwangju, many unexpected things happened there. A local resident named Kyung-Joon knows a cave that can be a hiding place with other residents. Some of them left their family members and livestock. Meanwhile, the soldiers were ordered to kill all the locals. A 20-year-old young soldier from Incheon found himself punished every day for failing to do so. As time went on, the soldiers got closer to Kyung-Joon's hideout with other locals.
