Fulfilling Expanded Ohio Revised Code Requirements Content: Four hours of training in: Prevention of child abuse, violence andsubstance abuse Promotion of positive youth development
Fulfilling Expanded Ohio Revised Code Requirements Required for: Individuals employed by school districts or service centers as: Nurses, teachers, counselors, school psychologists or administrators who work in elementary schools Encouraged for all K-12 school professionals
Timeframe and Deadlines Currently employed K-12 school professionals: Must complete at least four (4) hours of in-service training by March 30, 2009; and Must complete four (4) hours every five years thereafter, regardless of duration of service or prior training.

Modifications to the curriculum must be identified; identify program as the Ohio Department of Education’s Safety and Violence Prevention Curriculum.
