  2. What is a Biography? • Biography- a biography is a story of a person’s life written by someone else.

  4. Project Description: • You will be putting together a biography on a famous individual. • You will not be choosing your own person, the teacher will have you choose from a basket. • This biography will be into a Power Point presentation.

  5. Power Point Presentation Will Include: • 12 Slides Total • Introduction • Childhood • Young Adulthood (2 slides) • Adulthood (2 slides) • Career Achievements • Influences on Career • Description of Character • Closing • Works Cited

  7. Introduction (Name of Person) • Tell why he/she is famous • 2 sentences total

  8. Childhood • Tell where/when the person was born. • Describe person’s parents. • Education (5-16 yrs. Old). • Talk about an important childhood event. • 4 Sentences total.

  9. Young Adulthood • Talk about any education 17-26 yrs. Old. • Talk about an important event in his/her personal life. • Talk about another important event in his/her personal life. • 3 sentences total.

  10. Young Adulthood Continued… • Discuss how the person was influenced by others and/or events in his/her life. • Talk about his/her dating or lack of dating. • 2-3 sentences total.

  11. Adulthood • Tell if he/she got married. (names) • Tell if he/she had kids and tell their names. • Include an important event/fact of your person. • Discuss how the person was influenced by others and/or events in his/her life. • 3 sentences total.

  12. Adulthood Continued… • Discuss his/her job/career. • Give details/facts about career. • Tell “when” and “how” he/she died. • 3 sentences total.

  13. Career Achievements • State specifically what his/her career was. • What is he/she famous for? • Talk about important things/facts achieved within his/her career. • 4 sentences total.

  14. Influences on Career • Talk about what things influenced his/her career. • Discuss how his/her career affected the U.S., and/or World history. • Discuss how his/her career affected the lives of people. • 3 sentences total.

  15. Description of Character • Describe what kind of person he/she is or was. • Give an example from his/her life that shows the type of character he/she has/had. • Give another example from his/her life that shows the type of character he/she has/had. • 3 sentences total.

  16. Closing • Recap why he/she is famous. • Tell how his/her achievements have contributed to people and life today. • What impresses you most about this person and why? • Insert a picture of your choice.

  17. Bibliography • Any resources used to find information on your person must be listed here. • Citation must be in the proper format. • One source must be and encyclopedia. • Must have at least 3 sources.
