  1. Hi Kids! Welcome to HOTT!

  2. Have you thought much about what you want to be when you grow up?

  3. A Teacher?

  4. An Artist?

  5. Maybe an athlete?

  6. These are all very exciting jobs, but did you know there are a of other jobs that you may not have heard of that are very exciting and they also help people every day? LOT

  7. Most of you are familiar with what a doctor and nurse do, right? But did you know that there are MANY other jobs in the health field? Can you name a few?

  8. To learn about some of these jobs, let's pretend that you have just been in a car accident and have received several injuries.

  9. Who is the first health professional that will help you?

  10. EMT The will arrive in the ambulance to take you to the hospital.

  11. Nurse ER Doctor Once you get to the Emergency Department, the and a will examine you.

  12. The ER Doctor may decide that you need to have an x-ray taken.

  13. Radiology Tech A will place you on the table and take the x-ray.

  14. Radiologist A special doctor call a “reads” your x-rays to decide if anything is broken.

  15. The doctors decide that you need surgery. You will need to stay in the hospital for a few days.

  16. Admitting Clerk The works at the front desk of the hospital. She will ask your parents questions that are necessary to set up your stay at the hospital.
