  3. Ephesians 2:8-10 • For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not as a result of works, that no one should boast. For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works…

  5. Restoration • Romans 8:11 – If the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, he who raised Christ Jesus from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through his Spirit who indwells you.

  6. Assurance • Romans 8:15 – For y0u have not received a spirit of slavery…but you have received a spirit of adoption…by which we cry out, “Abba! Father!” The Spirit himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God.

  7. Cost • “Cheap grace is the preaching of forgiveness without requiring repentance, baptism without church discipline…Cheap grace is grace without discipleship, grace without the cross, grace without Jesus Christ, living and incarnate.” –Dietrich Bonhoeffer

  9. Declaration of Grace • Lord, because of your transforming grace, we refuse to live petty, superficial lives. You have forgiven us in order to form us into something more. “Grace happens!” It transforms our thoughts, our speech and our actions. Live through us…live big in us. Thank you for the gift of grace. Amen.
