  2. Which Supreme Court Case(s)? • A student took a picture of a staff member and her fiance at prom and posted it to facebook to the Academy Charter High School facebook. The student then proceeded to comment on the picture and say “World’s Ugliest Couple” and others began to follow. • At first the school was not going to pursue action against the student but it was found that he had originally posted the picture during school hours on a school computer. • The student was suspended and not allowed to use a computer for the rest of the school year.

Which Supreme Court Case(s)? • Students at Asbury Park High School organized a march at noon in honor of Trayvon Martin. • Students were expected to go to their classes all day with their hoodies up and walk out of the school and to the football field in the middle of class. • Wearing a hood is a direct violation of school policy and classes for the remainder of the day were suspended because they would not calm down enough to return to classes.

  4. Which supreme court case(s)? • Manasquan High School’s yearbook committee is in a complete uproar. The book has already been sent to print with a major problem on two of the pages. • An individual within the school, hacked the yearbook committee took a picture of he and his friends mooning the camera and sent the spread in for print. No faces are present in the pictures. • Upon receiving the yearbook, the staff were shocked at the recent turn of events. All yearbooks are sent to their home of the students who purchased them. • Parents have been calling and complaining and demanding their money back for the situation it caused.

Which Supreme Court Case(s)? • During health class at Ocean Township High School a group of students from the Fellowship of Christian Athletes walked out of class when the teacher began discussing abortion and other forms of contraception. • These students refused to take any more exams for their sex ed classes because it infringed on their religious rights. • These students failed the class and did not graduate because they needed four years of health as a requirements.

  6. Which Supreme Court case(s)? • A student from Monmouth Regional who tested positive for marijuana was suspended from school. It was not only found that he actively used drugs but that he was bringing it on campus to sell to other students. • The student had to every day empty his pockets in front of the principal and nurse in order to make sure no more products were brought on school grounds. • In addition the student was not allowed to bring a book bag of any sorts as well. • Randomly the student’s car was searched due to an odor that was emitted from it and more drugs were found. The student was again suspended for this and was no longer allowed to bring his car to school. • The student’s parents sued because he had to walk over a mile now to catch a bus thus putting their child’s health in jeopardy.
