BEFORE REPORTING TO SWOS… • Reporting Requirements can be found on the SWOS website: • http://www1.netc.navy.mil/swos/ • Specific course information can be found at (CAC/NKO Login): • https://www2.netc.navy.mil/swos_restricted/Doc/N72/N72%20Welcome.html • Check-in at SWOS in Uniform of the Day (Khakis) on the day stated in your orders • Checking-in at CBQ/Chalet prior to your NET report date will result in out-of-pocket expenses. • Bring IA V.10 certificate, orders, and travel document on the first day of class.
COURSE PREPARATIONS • Complete NKO Information Assurance v10.0 • Print certificate and turn in upon reporting • Review Navigation line items from OOD and CICWO PQS • Practice plotting fixes and chart preparation • Read/Review • NAVDORM (all) • Bowditch (Part I pages 1-51) • Review U.S. Coast Guard Navigation Rules of the Road • Rules of the Road Book, Exam test bank, and Practice Exams
COURSE REQUIREMENTS • Rules of the Road Test • Passing - 90% • Practical Plotting Assessment • Passing – 80% • Navigation Mid-Term Exam • Passing - 75% • VMS Written Final Exam • Passing - 75% • VMS Practical Final Exam • Pass / Fail • Navigation Final Exam • Passing – 75% • Navigation Simulator Practical • Passing – 75%
