Terrible character and plot development and not worth paying forBy GaneshaXjuvenile sex fantasy that the author tries to morph into an actual fantasy novel. Terrible character and plot development and not worth paying for. It's this type of self published junk written on the level of a junior high school student that is ruining the entire genre. Just plain silly.3 of 3 people found the following review helpful. Beautiful storyBy Vicki BarlowI thoroughly enjoyed reading this well written fantasy adventure that keeps you spellbound from

I Want to Read the Next OneBy Kathryn A. MorseI enjoyed this book! It is the first of Sulayman X's Five Kingdom's Novels and introduces the characters and the geography of this fantasy world.S. Mortimer Bookin, a scholar, is the primary character of this novel. An orphan, he was reared by his teacher who has now also passed away. Bookin seems to be dealing with loneliness and monotony, as he prepares to receives visitors. Visitors that Bookin assumes will be other scholarly types like himself. Instead Bookin finds himself the host to a handsome prince and a number of boisterous children from the various kingdoms.Prince Allender has been skipped over to become the king in favor of his younger brother and is now seeking to establish a school and support organization, a brotherhood, for others like himself who are "contrary" in sexual preferences to the norms established in the Kingdoms that follow the teachings of the One God. Prince Allender asks Bookin to join the group as their teacher. Bookin accepts and the group begin their journey to gain support for their brotherhood and set up their school. The adventures that follow are physically and mentally challenging for all. The two adults find love. There is danger, surprise, a birth, winged humanoids and, of course, dragons, in this charming novel. One of my relatives has already asked to borrow my copy. A Five Kingdoms Novel S. Mortimer Bookin is curious. It's what makes him such a good scholar. He's curious about the world around him, about his dead parents, about what it might be like to meet another Contrary man like himself. Then roguish and Contrary Kai warrior Prince Allender shows up on his doorstep, and Mortimer is entranced. The catch? Allender comes with baggage: a host of Contrary youths he wants to train in the ways of the Kai brotherhood... with Mortimer as their teacher. Mortimers curiosity and growing fascination with Allender trump his love of routine, and he commits to a perilous journey to obtain the Kai Overlords blessing for the school. Its a quest that will take him from home to the Zu-Kai Isle, on to the frozen north, and all the way to the mystical Dragon Isle. Mortimer and Allender grow closer with each mile, but when Allender is injured, it will fall to Mortimer to lead their ragtag brotherhood to procure the overlords pricethe tears of a dragon.
