  2. Conference 2017 Statistician’s Report January 1, 2017 Professing Membership: 136,683 Professions of Faith: 2,171 Other Additions: 2,752 Total Added: 4,923 Removed by Charge Conference Action: 3,076 Other Subtractions: 4,834 Total Removed 7,910 December 31, 2017 Professing membership:133,696

  3. Statistician’s Report Average attendance at worship service Was down by 4,350 worshipers or 7% Attendance at worship is about 44.3% of professing membership

  4. Statistician’s Report Asian population decreased by 1% (12) Native American increased by 1% ( 2) Multiracial increased by 8% (19) Black population increased by <1% (25) Hispanic/Latino increased by 8% (54) Pacific Islander decreased by 10% (7) White decreased by 3% (4,005)

  5. Statistician’s Report Baptism decreased by 11% Constituents increased by 10% Children and Youth in Christian formation increased by 7%: 32,232 – 34493 Young Adults and Adults in Christian formation decreased by 5.4%: 46,680 – 44,257

  6. Statistician’s Report Persons served by community ministries decreased by less than 1% VBS participation decreased by 4% from 25,507 50 24,409

  7. Statistician’s Report Market values are up 2% 25.2 million Debt is down 7.7% - $6.3 million 9% increase in Building Improvement and Major Equipment purchases $11,876,880

  8. Statistician’s Report Direct giving to United Methodist causes decreased 10% $1.66 million in 2015 to $1.48 in 2016 Direct giving to non United Methodist causes increased 2% $7.23 million in 2015 to $7.40 million in 2016
