  6. First Few Weeks… Your child may be: • Anxious • Tense • Excited • Tearful • Tired All Normal Please be patient, reassuring, and supportive.

  7. Last week • Established rules • Practiced procedures • Began routines • Get to know each other

  8. Snacks and Birthday Treats • Snacks • See packet for suggestions • Birthdays • Individually wrapped • Easy to eat • Napkins • Cupcakes????

  9. Classroom Rules • Green- no consequence, think about what you did • Yellow- caution, lose half of recess time • Red- note or phone call home • individualized

Room Parties and Volunteers • Halloween, Christmas*, Valentine’s Day • See sign-up sheets for other opportunities (Magnotte, Gibbons, and Eckhout) • Volunteers needed • Party committee (3 per party per class) • Donators (6 per party per class) • Save receipts • $5 per child for the entire year

  13. The Giving Tree Please visit the giving tree located at the back of the room before you leave. Our classes are still in need of many books, supplies, games, and puzzles. Please consider these items on special occasions. Thank you!
