  1. Blog 1: BornAgainPews.com DEFINING CHURCH SPACE THROUGH FURNITURE Interior design of spaces can safely be called something that pretty much characterizes that space. It is furniture that dictates what the room will turn out to be. Deciding on furniture prior to deciding space shape and dimensions allows room for creativity and efficient design. Furniture is an important aspect that embodies the essence of a space. If an example is to be quoted, nothing would do justice to explanation better than a church. Church furniture is a peculiar kind that attributes a perpetual nature, a sense of permanence and security to the church ambience. Church pews have been around since centuries, and still counting. The furniture style may have changed from traditional to contemporary over time, but what time could not change was its form. A church pew can be recognized by anyone at first glance. If one thinks about it, there isn’t any other piece of furniture as stubborn as this one. If this sounds unbelievable, one can visit the nearest church furniture store and see for themselves. A church identifies with pews, and it is also true the other way round. A church pew sitting in your living room is bound to raise eyebrows. Pew benches have a design that has successfully withstood the test of time by marking no significant change at all. This can be safely called “near perfect” design – one that does not need to change or evolve much with time; one that is perfectly suited for a space, no matter what comes and goes.
