Statistics from Yorkshire Bank Manufacturing Forum • UK manufacturing grew 6th consecutive month in September • Growth in orders reached a 19 year high in August • GDP – UK economic output rose by 0.8% between July and September, the fastest growth since 2010. • Government aim to get Manufacturing to account for 20% of UK GDP by 2020(currently 10%) – Vince Cable. • Aim to make renewables 30% of our energy sources • To achieve these last 2 aims we need sustained investment and Government support.
