Umbrella in 2005 for the Definition Phase • “Innofisk action for sustainable aquaculture in Europe” submitted to the Commission as a SSA under FW 6 on 5 September 2005; 5th priority Food. • “Innofisk action for sustainable aquaculture in Europe” submitted to the Commission under FW 6, March 2006; 8th priority, sustainable aquaculture.
The Innofisk Experience …..2006 • The Definitive EUREKA Label was granted in COMO in Oktober; a Project Brokerage Event decided upon for early 2007 • COST Strategic Workshop on Aquaculture to be held in Patras Greece April 2007; proposal submitted in September 2006 and approved on 12 Oktober !! Both Events now to be combined in a Two Days Twin-Event with: • A E! Project Event hosted by the Dutch E! Project Office in close Collaboration with the ESE and the Spanish E! Project Office • Organised by the InnoFisk Foundation supported and financed by • The Dutch InnovationNetwork on System Innovations in Rural Areas, Agriculture & Nutrition • The Dutch Transforum Foundation
The Two-in-One Event in February 2007… • The COST Longer Term Strategy Workshop as a Prelude to the E! Project Event • Bringing together relevant Stakeholders from Industry, Academia and Government in order to: • Exchange views and formulate longer Term Ambitions • Consider Research Cooperation leading to Innovative Project Collaboration to solve RD&I Problems in Aquaculture • Let Industry influence Academia and Vice Versa in RD&I Efforts. • The E! project Event • To let Industry define & start project Collaboration as a means to implement Strategy and solve Problems occurring

A Narrow Time Schedule……….. • End of November 2006: • the COST Scientific Committee is established • E! Project Offices get together and start Industry Consultation on Project Generation • The Web Site is under Construction • The Data Base is consulted and Names and Addresses of possible Candidates is produced. • November/December 2006: • in close Consultation with Industry: Agenda and R&D Issues for the COST Strategy Workshop defined, List of Speakers fixed. • The Process of Project Definition gets started; • Possibilities for Project Funding are assessed • December/January : • Logistics are settled • Invitations are distributed • Oktober 2007: • E! Project Event in Madrid as a Follow Up
