God Offers Us a Relationship ofUnconditional Love and Grace • In the beginning God created the world, the cosmos and all things in it – including people • The central theme of the Bible is the story of God calling us back into relationship • Jesus called people to accept the relationship that God offers • God offers us a personal relationship of self-giving love

  3. Our Acceptance of the Relationship • Justifying grace is at work in the moment we say yes to the relationship God offers • This spiritual experience of justifying Grace is also known as salvation, healing, conversion, being forgiven and being born again • Justifying grace is clearly seen in the cross of Christ • Conversion continues as we keep saying yes to Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior

God’s Activity and Our Response • Justifying Grace is double acceptance • God addresses our intellect; our response is faith • God appeals to our wills; by grace we are free to choose • God touches our hearts; we respond with love and enthusiasm • God calls us to be disciples of Jesus Christ; we respond with trust and obedience
