Results – Income • Significantly higher average incomes than reported in PDM survey from April 2013: • Ongoing availability of daily labour? • Phrasing of the question (AFG/week, rather than AFG/month)? • Average1 weekly earnings: 915 AFG/HH • Average1 weekly borrowing: 456 AFG/HH
Results – Expenditure • In order of importance: • Food • Health • Debt repayment • NFI/shelter • Water • Education • Other
Results – Preferred fuel • Rubbish results should, broadly speaking, be interpreted as households’ normal behaviour • Clear preference for charcoal at Block HaiQassaba, PD 15 • Should also test for reliance on animal manure in the future

Recommendations – Non-food items • Major gap is winter clothing for both adults and children • Settlements with poor ratings for state of their shelter and number of tarpaulins should be prioritised for tarpaulins; sites where shelters are predominantly tents should also be prioritised • Settlements fewer than 3 blankets per household on average should be prioritised for receiving blankets
