  4. Steps for the PPPoA test • Make sure your PPP service on the Server is running. • Configures DSLAM to have a proper setting. • Configures the ADSL Modem (ex: ADE-4400 & ASUS AM_604g) • Configures your switch and make sure all VLAN setting is correct. • Verify traffic path of PPPoA connection.

  9. Configuration on PLANET ADE-4400 Click Network  WAN Key in the parameters VPI: 0 VCI:35 according to DSLAM’s setting Select VC-Mux (or LLC) for encapsulation Select PPPoA Enable NAPT Key in User Name / Password And then ADD to add the channel Save the Configuration

  20. PPPoA Status on ASUS AM_604g If PPPoA works and all the settings of PPP server, DSLAM, and CPE are correct, the WAN Info of CPE will show status is ‘Up’ and PPP server will assign an IP to this CPE.

PPPoA Verification Uplink BP: VLAN-2, tagged IF xDSL-1, PVC-1: PVID-2, Untagged PPP server ASUS AM_604g PPPoA connection enabled DHCP Server enabled Untagged IF PVID-2 VLAN-2 tagged IF PC#1 PC#2 ADE-4400 PPPoA connection enabled DHCP Server enabled IP: Dynamic IP After PPP session is established, PC#1 can access the same LAN (PC#2) as PPP server and internet (WAN, depends on PPP server setting.) for testing.
