Pavement Management ? PM is a decision making process used to make cost-effective decisions about: Design, Construction, Maintenance, and Rehabilitation of pavements You could add other activities such as planning, budgeting, …etc. Basically, any activity related to “pavements” could be included in an overall PM system.
What is a PMS? • Decision support TOOL used by pavement personnel to assist in making cost-effective decisions concerning pavements • Network Level PMS • Project Level PMS Difference: Level of analysis, Level of Data
