  2. His life, so far… • He was born Leslie Steven Berks in the east end of London. On 3rd August 1937 • He studied drama and mime in both London and Paris. • In 1968 he formed the London theatre group. • As well as being a well known actor on both the stage and in Hollywood blockbusters he is also a writer and director.

  3. The films • Berkoff has appeared in more than 50 films. His first credited role was in 1967´s Prehistoric Woman. • Berkoff’s more well known roles were as: • The Russian General Orlov, in Octopussy. • Victor Maitland in Beverly Hills Cop. • Russian, Lt. Col. Podovsky in Rambo • And the sadistic policeman Tom in a Clockwork Orange. • He directed his film Decadence which was originally a play. • He has also appeared in numerous T.V roles in both America and England.

  4. The plays • Steven Berkoff has directed and appeared in an abundance of plays! • Berkoff’s theatrical version of ‘On the water front’ a film made in1954, staring Marlon Brando had successful runs in both Edinburgh and Nottingham, and is now playing at the London's Theatre Royal.
