The largest pyramid, built by Khufu (Cheops), a king of the fourth dynasty, had an original estimated height of 482 feet (now approximately 450 ft). Their songs are filled with lyrics such as “If I could…”, “If I had…”, “If I were…”, “I wish…” and “I hope…” Here are two famous songs about wishing and hoping. “If I had a million dollars”: In this popular song sung by a Canadian group called Barenaked Ladies, the lead singer sings about what he would do if he had a million dollars. He would buy the woman he loves a house, furniture, a car, an exotic pet, a green dress, and other things. “If I were a Rich Man”: In the musical, Fiddler on the Roof, Tevye, a poor dairyman, sings that he wishes to be rich. Tokyo (Reuters) – A two-legged robot being developed by Japanese scientists could one day carry the elderly and handicapped up stairs or inclines. Standing 1.28 meters (4ft), the robot is essentially a seat that walks on two mechanical legs. A person hops on the seat and controls its movements using two joysticks. The researchers sy it could take another five years before the robot can be used by the elderly. At present, the device is slow and needs modifications to carry heavy loads. “We began this research so as to provide a new level of mobility to the elderly and the handicapped, “Atsuo Takanishi, a professor who specializes in mechanical engineering at Waseda University in Tokyo, told a news conference on Wednesday.
