CS8640 Exam 2 Study Outline • DISREGARD THE CHAPTER NUMBERS DISPLAYED IN LECTURE 11 (REFER TO THE BOOK FOR THE CORRECT CHAPTER NUMBERS) • The exam will cover chapters 5, 7 (skip 7.8), 8 (skip 8.4, also RARP), 10, 18, 19 • The exam will cover lectures 6 through 11 • The exam will be approximately 75-90 minutes and held on March 1st at 6:30pm • The exam will consists of two parts: • Part 1: multiple choice questions, short problems and questions • Part 2: problems • Part 1 will be timed per question and you must answer the questions sequentially (can’t return to previous questions) • Part 1 questions and timing are NOT designed to provide you enough time in looking up the answers in the text book – designed to test your understanding • Part 2 will have an overall time amount and you will be able to go back-and-forth amongst the problems • Must completely finish part 1 before doing part 2. • The exam will be open book (open notes) • Must take exam independently – your computer’s IP address will be recorded. • Bring a calculator Lecture 4
