  1. The book, The Boy Who Saved Baseball, is a story about Tom and his team. They have to play an all-star team, known as the Vikings. Tom and his rookie team must win the game in order to save their field from destruction. If they lose, the field will be turned into commercial development. Coach Gallagher and his wife instruct this rookie team, but things begin to change when someone with a lot of baseball knowledge shows up.
