Enforcement Enforcement of This Law is Unclear and May Only be Done Through a Local Ordinance.
Disposal Options for Home-Generated Sharps Waste • Household Hazardous Waste Facility, • Sharps Consolidation Point, • Medical Waste Generator Facility, or • Mail-back Container.
Disposal Options-Consolidation Points • Must Accept Home-Generated Sharps • Need Written Approval from Local Enforcement Agency • Must Accept Sharps in Approved Containers; and • Sharps Must be Handled, Stored and Transported as a Medical Waste After Receipt.
