Sitecore Requirements for Connectors • Sitecore Connect for Salesforce CRM 2.0.1 for Sitecore Experience Platform 9.0.1 (or greater) • Sitecore Connect for Salesforce CRM 2.0 for Sitecore 9.0 or greater • Salesforce Connect 1.4.1 (rev. 170818) for Sitecore Experience Platform 8.1 rev. 151207 (8.1 update-1 or greater) • Sitecore Connect™ 1.0 software for Salesforce Marketing Cloud for Sitecore Experience Platform 9.0 or later

  7. INSTALLATION steps • Install Sitecore Installation packages • Deploy xConnect Model • Configure Salesforce authorization model • Configure Sitecore with salesforce connection string • Configure and enable Tenants and Endpoints • Test the connections between Sitecore and salesforce

Advantages of Sitecore Connect • Makes integration process quick and easy • The instant integration makes special IT projects • Achieve faster time to market with precision marketing access channels such as email marketing • Integrating allows the two platforms to exchange marketing information • Salesforce integration allows customers registered in CRM platform to log into Sitecore web site • With data flowing seamlessly into a central repository, it makes holistic marketing analysis much easier. • Marketers will no longer have to manually analyze connections across Sitecore, Marketing Cloud, and Google Analytics to identify trends. • Track visitor activity using campaigns from Salesforce

Limitations of Sitecore Connect for Salesforce CRM 2.0.1 • Support only Sitecore 9.0.1 or above versions • You can only push media items that store file types supported by Salesforce • According to Salesforce restrictions, the file size cannot exceed 3 MB • Item clones are not supported inside media roots

Capabilities Salesforce Contacts • Salesforce contacts can be created in Sitecore using Sitecore salesforce connect APIs • Salesforce contacts can be managed from Sitecore user manager • Salesforce contacts can be logged onto the Sitecore system • xDB stores Sitecore contact as contact Facet. • The contact data can be retrieved from the salesforce CRM once Sitecore contact is identified as a salesforce contact.
