  2. OB-PS is an international network of individuals established in 1984 to financially support the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts. Next year we will be celebrating our 30th Anniversary. • It has raised over £6million for WAGGGS over the last 30 years. What is the Olave Baden-Powell Society? It is led by a board of volunteers with a President and Vice President. Our Patron is HRH Princess Benedikte of Denmark.

  3. Over 1,200 members in 56 countries

  4. Becoming an OB-PS member • Individuals become members by committing to make a donation of £6,000 either in one installment or over 6 years • Receive a pin and certificate from our Patron • Annual event in different location each year • Join an international network of friendship with • men and women from different cultures and • backgrounds • “Being a member of OB-PS allows me to give back and continue the circle so future girls can receive the benefits of Girl Guiding and Girl Scouting that so helped me”

  5. Friends of Asia Pacific WAGGGS (FAPW)and OB-PS membership • An individual donor who has already donated £6,000 or equivalent over a period of time to FAPW is eligible to become an OB-PS member. • An individual donor who has donated £1,000 or equivalent and plans to make on-going donations to WAGGGS can commit to making 5 further donations of £1,000 over the next 5 years and in doing so become an OB-PS member. In this case, the donor must provide evidence of these donations to OB-PS office. • Please contact OB-PS office at obps@wagggs.org

  6. OB-PS and Young people • Youth Membership: • £1000 + £5000 when reach age of 35 years • Anne Scott Fund: • Small grants & scholarships for girls and young women. Over last couple years the popularity of the Anne Scott Fund has risen rapidly. In 2012 we supported 30 young women to have opportunity to attend international events and training programmes.

  7. OB-PS Annual Events OB-PS members and their guests are invited to meet every year in a different country. Members hear from the OB-PS President and WAGGGS representatives to learn how their support has made a difference to the lives of girls and young women everywhere. In 2013 OB-PS members and guests came together for an amazing event in the beautiful city of Lucerne, in very heart of the Switzerland. Next year they will head to Hong Kong as our event will take place during the World Conference.
