GETTING AROUND • London has higher levels of inter-regional mobility than most other regions. • London has some boroughs where population mobility is greater than 35% per annum, and where the private rented sector is the largest tenure. • Community resilience: ‘buffer’ for everyday items, childcare support, hand up • Transport costs
EARLY TRENDS • Worklessness: increase in zero contract hours, increased sanctions, • Affordable housing: no sign that rents are coming down, impact on outer London, migration out of London, overcrowding • Trade offs: rent vs heating vs eating, increased crime, using unsuitable services
CPAG MONITORING TOOL CPAG is looking for help to monitor the real impacts of welfare reform in London. We want to show how the changes to benefits, particularly housing benefit, are affecting London families and have designed a quick and easy to use online tool for advisers to input information about how they are affecting your clients, or individuals to tell us about their own experience. You can access the tool here: http://cpag.mysociety.org
