FIH Anti-Doping Regulations • on the FIH website • prohibited list: available from a link on the FIH website or from the WADA website: www.wada-ama.org • - all team members and personnel must be fully aware of regulations and procedures
Therapeutic Use Exemptions • TUE’s • applications should have been made to - FIH at least 30 days before the event • includes all players in the squad • - emergency/late applications: refer urgently to the FIH Medical Officers
Doping control testing • selection procedures • notification procedures ( ID !! ) • chaperoning ( ice bath, shower, toilet ) • - reporting to doping control (ASAP) • providing samples ( urine ) • documentation • chain of custody • - minors !
Anti-doping education • Real Winner • - is an online, modular, • education and certification tool • developed by the Norwegian National - - Anti-Doping Organisation • which is regularly updated • - and therefore always current

Treating injuries • - On the field of play : • team doctor/physio may only enter if indicated by an umpire • no treatment on the field (only for a goalkeeper) • call for stretcher/ambulance if necessary • - Treatment : • if doctor/physio has entered the field, player must leave the field for minimum 2 minutes at FIH events • - Blood injury : • wounds must be covered (and clothing cleaned or changed) before player returns to the field
Injury reports • - Routine (match injury) reports • completed by officials at the technical table • all injuries resulting if a time stoppage recorded • temperature and humidity measuring • - Medical incident reports • completed by FIH Medical Officer for serious injuries (eg requiring hospital treatment or player unable to participate further in the tournament) • - Daily Medical Report • First round completed and returned after pool competition and secondly at the end of the tournament by the Medical Staff of the team, includes serious injuries as requested by FIH Medical Officer
