BioCoRE A web-based collaborative environment for biomedical research, research management, and training • Group research by projects • Co-authoring and sharing of documents through a shared file system • Supercomputer simulation management using the Grid • Sharing of molecular visualization results over the internet • Instant messaging, making it easy to communicate in a secure, private environment • Access to VMD and NAMD in a single location

BioCoRE • Programming interface, accessible to outside users and developers, enables programmatic control of data • Allows specialized interfaces to be built on top of BioCoRE, such as a BioCoRE console integrated into a molecular visualization program • Shared file system integrates transparently with many external applications through WebDAV • Java server software locally installable and modifiable http://www.ks.uiuc.edu/Research/biocore/
