Application:Lagar Velho • Neanderthals (in the full sense) disappeared from Portuguese region 5,000 years before Lagar Velho was born. • In many places (France, Russia, Balkans) it looks as if Cro-Magnon man wiped out Neanderthal • Lagar Velho shows that in some cases they were not wiped out: they were mixed into Cro-Magnon society! • Big Questions: How many other Lagars are there? Do we have significant Neanderthal heritage?
