Our portfolio Ruukki SP2E PU and SP2B PU sandwich panels with a rigid polyurethane core are intended for use in industrial buildings, as cladding for walls and ceilings in the stationary cold storage and food industry facilities. Product features Ruukki SP2E PU sandwich panels are composed of twoexternal facings made of steel sheets and a polyurethaneinsulation core.The rigid HCFC-free, self-extinguishingpolyurethane foam features very good thermal insulationproperties. Panel facings are made of metal sheets galvanised on both sides,with the parameters of S280GD or S320GD steel and zinc coating weight of Z275 g/m2 or Z190 g/m2. The standard version of the sheets is protected with polyester coating. The sheets are also available with PVDF coating, which features improved resistance to ultraviolet radiation. In case of facilities with increased hygiene and sanitaryrequirements, like food productionand storage, panel facings may need extra protection. 7. Sealing system The sealing system is a special profiledseal applied during the panel manufacturing process. The use of the seal ensures that panel locks are vapour-tightand it eliminates the need for additional applicationof a sealing compound during assembly. 8. Our sandwich panels have facings made of galvanized steel sheets with durable organic coatings, which provides perfect protection against corrosion. Ruukki offers a 25 micron thickness of polyester in a colour compliant with a Ruukki’s sandwich panel colour scheme. 9. Cold and deepfreeze storagefacilities One of the most important elementsin the structure of a cold store is the effectiveness of thermal insulation of walls and ceilings. Depending on theuse of a cold store, its internal temperaturemay be positive,i.e. an “above-zero” cold store (from 0oC to +10oC), or negative,i.e. a “below-zero” cold store (from -18oC to -30oC). Food storage - a reference facility • PPHU Awex, a vegetable sortingand storage facility in NoweSkalmierzyce • The cladding of the facility was done using cold-storage sandwich panels with a polyurethane core. Ruukki’s profiled sheets were used as the roofing material. Ruukki supplied a total of 10,000 m2 of materials.The panel elevation was mounted in the horizontal assembly arrangement with the structure maintained outside.
