Updates – Visitor Statistics • Due to budget cuts, we are unable to renew Webtrends • Interim solution is to use free Google Analytics • We would like to get all Portal sites on Google Analytics before January 1, 2010 • Historical WebTrends information will still be available • We expect to continue to analyze historic data through WebTrends

Updates – Visitor Statistics • Google Analytics will only analyze forward (not historically) • Similar to SDC, the information will be more accurate, but potentially different than current WebTrends information • Report layout is different but intuitive • https://www.google.com/analytics/reporting/dashboard?id=23784154&pdr=20091101-20091201&cmp=average&trows=10#lts=1259761361449 • We may survey Agencies about whether they want separate reports for pre- and post-DSF.Net migration

Updates – Visitor Statistics • What is involved in moving over to Google Analytics: • JavaScript code needs to be included on EVERY page to be tracked • Portal sites are easy: Code will be inserted into the template (the footer) • DOIT will work with Agencies not on the Portal • An account will be created in Google Analytics for each Agency • To track files (PDF, DOC, XLS, etc.), code must be added to the links to those files • DOIT will provide the code • Files will only be tracked from the links tagged (If the file is hit from another link, it will not be tracked)

  8. Updates – USA Search • Sites on USASearch – 97 • Global change was made on the standard templates • Outstanding sites - 2 portal and 5 non-portal sites

  9. Updates – Classic DSF • We have put a hold on all training and new site requests in Classic DSF • We have shifted all resources to DSF.Net • If you have a critical need for training or a new site, please include justification in Work Request Form

DSF.Net – Project Update • Completed first round of testing in June 2009 • Cimbrian delivered code October 30, 2009 • Cimbrian informed us they significantly downsized their company due to financial difficulties • Impact to CT – they would be unable to do any further work on the system for an indeterminate amount of time

DSF.Net – Project Update • We had identified the size of the company as a risk at the beginning of the project so we implemented the mitigation strategy which as CT Developers taking over the system • Joe Lapierre, Charlie Barnett, and Ken Mosher have been assigned to the system and have taken over the code • They will fix all bugs found in system and UAT testing and provide continuing support of the system

DSF.Net – Project Schedule • October 30 – Cimbrian delivered build for system testing • Nov 5 – Nov 30 – PMG will be performing extensive system testing • Nov 5 – Dec 15 – CT Developers will fix issues found during system testing • Dec 21 – Jan 12 – PMG will perform 2nd round of system testing • Dec 21 – Jan 13 – CT Developers will fix issues found during system testing • Jan 19 - Jan 22 - User Acceptance Testing will be performed • February 3, 2010 – Start migrations to the new system

DSF.Net – Upgrade Process • To get in the upgrade queue, agencies need to fill out the online form at http://www.ct.gov/cpi/cwp/view.asp?a=1766&q=439074 • We currently have 23 Sites in the queue • We will be migrating 4 pilot sites to the new system first. The sites are Department of information Technology (DOIT), Charter Oak Health Care (DSS), Teen Driving (DMV) and OPAPD • Once they are complete and we’ve streamlined the process, we will be begin with the sites in the queue

DSF.Net – Upgrade Process cont. • Majority of process will be automated. • Areas that will require input from agencies include roles and permissions, eAlert topics, Workflow groups, and folder and subfolder permissions • We have decided not to move public users into the new system. We’ll have to send emails out to them that they need to re-register • Agency url will change to www.agency.ct.gov. Old url will redirect to the new site

  15. DSF.Net – Training Plan • We are working on two training options, Online Learning and Classroom Training with Adnet Technologies • Funds available in current budget but they may be cut

  16. DSF.Net Demo • Administration and Presentation sites • Create a new page • Add content • Add page to navigation • Put through workflow • Approve page • Review presentation site • Register a new user
