  2. Activity Directions • Your topic for today and tomorrow is perseverance. • Pass out the assignment sheet on perseverance before continuing this slide show. (Copies are in mailboxes.)

  3. Day #1 Before Beginning Make sure you have the assignment sheet for today’s activity on perseverance! Copies are in advisor’s mailboxes in the office!

  4. Step #1 Create a definition of perseverance as a class. (5 Minutes)

  5. Step #2 • Watch the Ted Talk “Living Beyond Limits: Amy Purdy ” and answer the following questions as you watch. (10 minutes) • https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N2QZM7azGoA

  6. Step #3 Discuss the answers to the questions. (10 Minutes)

  7. Step #4 Return this assignment to your advisor. You will need to do the back tomorrow!

  8. Day #2 Make sure you get your assignment sheet on perseverance back from yesterday!

  9. Day #2 Step 1- Class Starter Discuss one of the following as a class or in groups: When you persevered When you wish you persevered People you know who persevere Famous people that have persevered What is so cool about perseverance or Amy Purdy (2-3 Minutes)

  10. Day #2 Step 2- Goal Setting Fill out the goal setting sheet. (5 Minutes)

  11. Day #2 Step 3- Sharing Goals Share your goals as a class. & Put the goals sheets up in your Round-Up classroom. (5-7 Minutes)
