Luke 2:10 - 11 “Fear not, for behold, I bring you good news of a great joy that will be for all the people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord.” (ESV)
Miraculous appearance • The angel tells these men not to be afraid because he’s bringing “good news of a “great joy.”
Luke 2:10 - 11 “Fear not, for behold, I bring you good news of a great joy that will be for all the people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord.” (ESV)
Great joy! • “Great joy” is cheerfulness amplified and expanded beyond anything ordinary.
luke 2:15 “When the angels had returned to heaven, the shepherds said to each other, “Let’s go to Bethlehem! Let’s see this thing that has happened, which the Lord has told us about.” (NLT)
Great joy! • The joy promised was experienced when the shepherds went to see Jesus. Their joy started with a choice; so can ours.
MIRACULOUS Possibility • One of the greatest miracles of Christmas just might be the overflowing of great joy in the midst of our “now.”
