Quadrant Rates Study. Course Delay Effect Result. Quadrant rates varies two orders of magnitudes. Barely affects on the rate. Nhits /event distributions. Run402398 Rough Delay=2. Run402402 Rough Delay=0. No visible improvement in the nhit = 8 cut off in the Run4 rough delay setting 0.

BLT Quadrant Rate Test Results Rates are fairly consistent between quadrants in both South and North! Maximum difference in the rates are 35% between NQ1 and NQ2.
BLT Quadrant Rate Test Results Full Rate < Sum(Q1~Q4) because of HV configuration, small panels are somewhat double counting. However still sum seems to be very high.

South Rates Study Run4 • The purity of Quadrant-4 (4.4%) is as high as Run4 data. Other quadrants are somewhat low. • Total Number of

Summary • The delay setting between regular LL1 (coarse delay=2) and Run4 Cosmic setting (coarse delay=0) makes no impact on LL1-BLT triggering rates. No impact on nhit distribution neither. • No quadrant trigger rates asymmetry was observed in BLT trigger. • Maximum rates difference was factor of 2.5 between quadrants in the case of MUID1D-LL1. • So far, only LL1-BLT shows quadrants sizable asymmetry between E&W.
Feb. 24, 2014 Follow Up Rate Measurements For BLT-Quadrants

It was not enough to take all quadrant by quadrant data again, but I took two of each quadrant HV on data and all HV on data. Here is the summary. Feb.24th Run Summary South : MuTr magnet off, coarse delay=100, rough delay=0 North : MuTr magnet off, coarse delay=100, rough delay=2 Previous quadrants measurements were taken with MuTr magnet on. This measurements were off. As discussed in later slides, B-field doesn’t affect on trigger rates.
South BLT-Quadrant Rate • New quadrant measurements in Feb.24 seem to be consistent with previous Feb.20th measurements. • The new data of all HV on rate 275[Hz] is about 25% lower than the same measurements in Feb.6. • In measurement Feb.24, rates of all HV on is smaller than each quadrant measurements. This is absolutely contradict from what we expect!!
Roads Distribution in Radio Graph South Red box: Run#403281 (Q1)nroads (<50) = 688 in 70s Green box: Run#403286 (Q2)nroads (<50) = 580 in 73s Blue box: Run#403298 (All HV on) nroads (<50) = 695 in 75s *nroads(<50) : number of roads are counted for only less than 50 roads/event
Double counting of small panel roads in the simple sum of Quadrants is only minor effect. rx dist. Run403286 (Q2) rx dist. Run403281 (Q1)
North BLT-Quadrant Rate • New quadrant measurements in Feb.24 seem to be consistent with previous Feb.20thmeasurementswithin 17%. • The new data of all HV on rate 275[Hz] is about 25% lower than the same measurements in Feb.6. This is same situation as South. • Observed rates 300[Hz] of all HV on was higher than each quadrants rate though, it is still way too low than what you expect!!
North Roads Distribution Radio Graph Red box: Run#403287 (Q1)nroads (<50) = 529 in 79s Green box: Run#403288 (Q2)nroads (<50) = 519 in 94s Blue box: Run#403290 (All HV on) nroads (<50) = 698 in 69s
Summary • New quadrants measurements (Feb.24th) are consistent with previous measurements (Feb.6th, 20th) within 25%. • MuTr B-field doesn’t seem to affect on BLT rates. • Rates are somehow suppressed when all HV are turned on compared to each quadrant HV on condition as if … • DAQ limits high rate? • Large fraction of events have correlation between quadrants. Then it makes sense to behave as 1+1=1.Still have no explanation “All HV on” < Q1 or Q2. • HV power supply is somehow weakened when we turn on many channels at once. • Etc.
