TEST #1: Defeat an Undefeatable Enemy • An impossible task (7:1-9) • Gracious encouragement (7:10-14) • Choice: will trust God (7:15-18) • Result: stunning victory (7:22-25) Faith can overcome impossible odds!
TEST #2: Resist Temptation to “Get Yours” • A tempting offer (8:22) Deuteronomy 17:14-15 When you enter the land the Lord your God is giving you and have taken possession of it and settled in it, and you say, “Let us set a king over us like all the nations around us,” be sure to appoint over you the king the Lord your God chooses.
