  11. Disability and the Arts Festival 2011 Feedback

  12. Feedback • I enjoyed seeing all the different finished art work at the Arts Gala • I have had prior experience working with disabled persons, so I'm not sure that this is something that I learned as much as re-learned, but I was struck with how enthusiastic and exciting the disabled members of the group were when working on the projects. • Creativity can definitely find its way around any disability • That art is limitless and one's ability to express oneself is not defined by their cognitive or mental ability understanding of people who do not follow "typical" social norms. • I think the biggest thing I learned was to let myself open up and just have fun inany situation. I was at first hesitant to join in during the "improvise" session, butonce I did I really enjoyed it! • I think that it helped to reinforce my notion that regardless of ability level everyone has something to contribute. • I also learned that there are many individuals at HWS who believe in the importance of inclusion, more so then I original may have thought.

  13. 2012 We need to add the link and show the video on u-tube. Not sure where it should be played
