Boundaries & the Internet • How are you branding yourself to your future employer? • A Partier? • Someone who has the Knowledge, Skills and Abilities to do the job (KSA)? • The attributes required to perform a job; generally demonstrated through qualifying experience, education or training.
Tips on InterviewingLegal Stuff that you should be familiar with • Many laws protect you during the recruiting process. • You cannot be discriminated or turned away because of your Age, Race, Gender, Sexual Orientation, Religion, Gender Identity or Ethnicity! • They can say no or turn you away if you are not qualified for the job! • San Francisco Minimum Wage is $9.79 per hour • State of California Minimum Wage is $8.00 per hour
Tips on interviewing (Presentation, Dress, Asking questions) • Never be late! • Dress the part • Do your homework about the workplace. • See what people are wearing when you fill out the application. • Leave the piercings ,rings, necklaces and other jewelry at home • If you have tattoo’s wear a long sleeve shirt or blouse • Short skirts, plunging necklines, tight or very loose clothing are not acceptable in most workplaces
