1. SAGA database http://saga.sci.hokudai.ac.jp/ http://www.astro.keele.ac.uk/saga/ Suda et al.(2008) • Collection of observed data • taken from the literature on the abundance analyses of metal-poor stars in our Galactic halo • Compilation of adopted stellar parameters, derived abundance data, etc. • using on-line Data Registration System • Access to the data through web browsers • Data retrieval system
Contents of SAGA(1) • Stars: • Complete collection of published data for stars of [Fe/H] ≦-2.5 • 1305 stars (3208 when duplications included; from 149 papers) • Abundance data • [X/Fe]: 19,185 • [X/H]: 22,835 • log ε: 22,835 Complete collection
Contents of the SAGA(2) • Atmosphere • Teff, log g, [Fe/H], vturb • Photometry • U, B, V, R, I, J, H, K Magnitudes • Color indexes • Equivalent width • Equivalent width, log gf, Excitation Potential • Isotopic ratio • Binarity • Referenced solar abundances
Contents of the SAGA(3) • Observing logs: • Object name, position, Observing date, Telescope, Resolution, Typical S/N, Exposure, Radial velocity • Bibliography: Paper title, Author

Extension to the metal-rich stars and planet hosts • We have started to extend SAGA for the planet hosts and the metal-rich stars • Compiled data • 10 papers • 940 (1463) stars • 72 PHS, • 868 non-PHS • 12,156 [X/H] data UNDER CONSTRUCTION
[Fe/H] distribution • Well-known characteristics, high surface metallicity, of the PHSs can be seen □:non-PHS □:PHS Number [Fe/H] +:non-PHS △:PHS Teff [Fe/H]
Vanadium abundances • Potential trend of overabundance of V (Sadakane et al. 2002, Bodaghee et al. 2006, Gilli 2006) Sadakane+2002 [V/Fe] SAGA+ 1.0 0 +:non-PHS △:PHS -0.2 -0.5 0 0.5 [Fe/H]
Si abundances [Si/H] • Clear overabundance (Robinson et al. 2006) • Underabundance (Gonzalez & Laws 2007) [Fe/H] Robinson+2006 SAGA+ [Fe/H]
Cross-reference data plot • [Na/Si] values are internally processed by [Na/Fe] and [Si/Fe] [Na/Si] [Fe/H]
Summary & Future works • SAGA database • http://saga.sci.hokudai.ac.jp • Easy to search, plot, and download data • We have started to extend SAGA database into higher metallicity stars and planet host stars • Some important data for metal-rich stars and planet hosts are to be installed in the future • Stellar masses, Planet orbital parameters, Planet masses
The new database will • Reveal the characteristics of planet host stars from the element abundances • Reveal the whole history of the star formation and chemical evolution in our Galaxy from the extremely metal-poor stars to the super metal-rich stars • Be open to the public in the near future
Ni and Ti abundances • 662
