Before the course • Start by reading the coursesyllabus • Plan how the lecturing of the expectedlearningoutcomes (FSR) in the syllabusshould be done. • Plan how examination of the expectedlearningoutcomesshould be done.
At the first lecture abcd0001 • Let the students nominate at leastone student to review the summary of the courseevaluation at the end of the course. • Make a note of that student’sCAS-identity
Ask the students after the course • Make a survey that must containthe university's mandatory general questions: • Question 1: How would you assess the quaility of the course as a whole? (1-2-3-4-5, there 1 is the lowestgrade and 5 is the highestgrade) • Question2: On average, how many hours per week have you devoted to your studies (timetabled classes plus working on your own or together with other students) on this course? • Question3. How would you assess the way you have been treated in general as a student during the course ? (1-2-3-4-5, there 1 is the lowestgrade and 5 is the highestgrade)
Also ask the students… … for eachexpetedlearningoutcomeif it has beencoveredduring the course. The students shouldanswerYes, No, Do not know
Then ask all otherquestions you mighthave… • Whatwasgood • Whatcan be improved • Whatwasmissing
Proposoals for improvements Discuss the comments in the survey with the student group, or with representatives of the student group Extract general opinions Develop proposals for improvement
Time to fill in the course report https://www.kursrapport.umdc.umu.se/
First click”Course reports” in the menu, thenclick ”Answercourse report” Finallyfill in the coursecode!
If no coursefound, eventhough you havesupplied the correctcoursecode, contact the responsible person at the department and ask him/her to ”connect your cours to the course report template”
Ifeverythingworks fine, it will look like this – Click on the correctcourse session – usuallythere are morethanone to choose from.
The course report consists of sixtabs– Report, Teachers, Course evaluation, Summary, Review and history.
Report The top of the report part contains data for this session – coursecode, no of students, results etc. Numbers are collected from Ladok by the responsible person at the department.
Fill in data in the textboxesSave when you are done with the tab or when you leave the computer – if you get loggedoutyou willloose the data
Course evaluationThe course report assumesthat you havedone a courseevaluationsamong the students including the university's mandatory general questions.Save
It alsoassumes you haveaskedabout the expectedlearningoutcomes
SummaryUnder summary, you writedown the results of the discussion with the students regarding the courseevaluationSave!
ReviewUnder this tabtoufill in the CAS-identity for yourself (coursecoordinator), the student reviwer(s) and the person responsible at the department for putting in Ladok data and makes an archive of the pdf-versions of the course reports
HistoryUnder the tab history, a list of changestogether with the ones that havemade the changes are shown.
AfterwardsWhen you have filled in the report:Save– the report is then in status ”Answered”!Send for reviews– the reviewers get an email that the report is ready to be reviewed.Granska! (When all reviewers has said OK, the course report is final and can not be alteredanymore)
