  3. NHD GEO Edit Tools v2.0 Setup • Recommended Hardware • Software Requirements before installing Task Assistant and NHDGeoEdit Tool • Installing the Task Assistant, NHDGeoEdit Tool, ArcGIS Build Network, and NHD Geo database program utilities • Testing the Reach Allocator

  4. NHD GEO Edit Tools v2.0 Setup – cont. Recommended Hardware: • 2.0 GHz Processor or better • 1 GB Ram • Video Card supporting dual monitors

  5. NHD GEO Edit Tools v2.0 Setup – cont. Software Requirements before installing NHDGeoEdit Tool: • Window XP / Windows 2000 • ArcGIS 9.1 only • ArcObjects Developer Kit • Perl 5.6 or higher - Activestate.com • Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1 Installed (does seem to work on higher versions)

Software to Install: • Install Task Assistant – Setup.exe • Install NHD Geo Edit Tool Version 2.0 – NHDGeoEditTools_v2.0.msi • Install Non Forest Service version - default • WinXP – Double click on registerDLL.bat to register NHDEditTools9.dll • WinXP – Double click on unregisterDLL.bat after uninstalling tool • Windows 2000 - WIN2KregisterDLL.bat • Windows 2000 - WIN2KunregisterDLL.bat • Edit - C:\Program Files\ESRI\NHDGeoEditTools\bin\NHDEditToolsConfigNonFS.xml

  7. NHD GEO Edit Tools v2.0 Setup – cont. Software to Install: (cont.) • Edit - C:\Program Files\ESRI\NHDGeoEditTools\bin\RCA_client.pl

NHD GEO Edit Tools v2.0 Setup – cont. • Close and restart computer • Installing USGS Utilities • Install ArcGIS Build Network – Setup_ArcGIS_NetworkBuild.msi • ArcGIS Build Network – Build new Network • Install NHD Geo database programs - NHD_Users_All_Exes_v20070328 – setup.exe will install the following: • Build Flow table – rebuilds flow table • NHDMValue Utility – breaks, opposing flow, and branched reaches • XML2PersonalGDB – checks transactions to original extracted dataset and creates error log • XML Extract – generates .xml and creates error log Software to Install: (cont.)
