SLA Assessment Initiative • Advancing the 2015 UW-Madison Plan for the Assessment of Student Learning • Student learning outcomes (academic/co-curricular programs, courses) • Academic program assessment plans (3-5 years) • Academic program (degree/major) assessment reporting (annually) • Improving the collection and use of student learning data for faculty/instructors/campus • Evidenced-based decision-making supports student-centered learning, faculty-led curriculum planning, decision-making, program review, etc. • Indirect measures (course evaluations/surveys) • Direct measures - demonstrated student work (assignments, grades, rubrics)

Mapping Complete Once mapping is complete, a program is published. The next step is faculty will link course assignments in Canvas to outcomes. Let’s take a look at how to link assignments within Canvas and AEFIS.
