Student Learning Outcome Assessed: Theme 1 • Students in Educational Administration will have a deep knowledge of: • Leadership process needed for a positive impact on student learning • Pedagogy required for a positive impact on K-12 student learning at the building level • Pedagogy required for a positive impact on K-12 student learning at the district level • Procedure for formulating and presenting K-12 student learning outcomes that are accessible to all stakeholders • Administrative/leadership strategies to positively impact student learning
Student Learning Outcome Assessed: Theme 2 Students in Educational Administration will be able to: • Write professional documents that are free of spelling, punctuation and grammar errors. • Write professional documents that are clear and concise. • Use oral communications skills that are professional, free of jargon and/or appropriate language, organized, concise and audience specific. • Collect K-12 student performance data, organize the data, interpret and summarize the data with respect to a school improvement plan.
Student Learning Outcomes Assessed: Theme 3 Students in Educational Administration will be able to: • Use administrative strategies to positively impact K-12 student learning • Describe their leadership style to others both in oral and written formats • Describe how their leadership style will promote positive K-12 student learning
Student Learning Outcomes Assessed: Theme 4 Measures used to assess Educational Administration student satisfaction and achievement: • Maintain a B average or above throughout the program • Indicate satisfaction with the program via IAS form S questions 5-9 • Successfully pass the School District Leader (NSTCE) examination
Moving Forward: Action Plan/Data Driven Decision: i.e., “Closing the Loop” • On the targeted assessments, all students were at Meeting: “P” (80%) or above on their final submission • It is critical that graduates in Educational Administration produce error free oral and written communications • The Educational Administration Department must provide an opportunity for students to reach the goal of error free productions • Multiple submissions are a necessary part of the learning process • To date, there is no technology mechanism that allow us to track the multiple submission grading rate
Resources needed to close the loop • As a result of the data analysis, the department will work with IT (TK20 and/or ANGEL) to enable this tracking to occur
