  2. Students MUST take the GHSGT for the first time in the spring of their eleventh grade year. Juniors Class of 2012

  3. Test Dates – Writing Make-Ups February 23, 2011 Main Administration March 21 – 25, 2011 GHSGT

  4. Content Area Dates • Monday – March 21, 2011 – ELA • Tuesday – March 22, 2011 – Math • Wednesday – March 23,2011 – Science • Thursday – March 24, 2011 – Social Studies • Friday – March 25, 2011 – Make-ups

  5. The standards tested on the GHSGT have been clustered into content domains. Content Areas Tested ELA Math Social Studies Science

  6. For planning purposes, students are expected to complete the tests in the following times: • English Language Arts in 60 minutes • Mathematics in 60 minutes • Science in 90 minutes • Social Studies in 90 minutes However, all students may have up to three (3) hours to complete each GHSGT.

  10. Saturday School is offered every Saturday from 9:00 am – 12 noon in the CTAE Building. Academic assistance with passing a section(s) of the Georgia High School Graduation Test and Computer Labs are offered, with master teachers offering free tutoring in the areas of language arts, math, science, social studies and writing. Participants must provide their own transportation. No registration required. Afterschool GHSGT Tutorial sessions will be offered from 3:15 – 5:15 on Mondays and Wednesdays . The afterschool sessions will provide review and practice sessions on all content areas tested. These sessions will be available through March 17th. Super Saturday March 19th. Selected students will also be pulled from one of their classes during the day to attend GHSGT Practice sessions based on content needs. These students will be selected based on diagnostic data and current grades. Additionally, content teachers will lead content sessions in their classrooms based on content domain strengths and challenges. Selected students will receive details of these sessions through announcements and classroom delivery. USA Test Prep, an online review website has been purchased to offer students additional practice and assistance. The school’s subscription allows your students to review for the GHSGT at school, home or a local library with internet access. The site is operational at all times.
