DCMA Overview • Mission: Provide Customer- Focused Acquisition Life Cycle and Combat Support to Ensure Readiness, Worldwide 24/7 • Represent the Military Services, Defense Agencies, other Federal Agencies and Allied Government Buying Agencies Worldwide • Primarily, but not exclusively, after contract award Agency Goals 1. Key Initiatives • Establish competency aligned Surveillance Management Organizations in the areas of Quality Assurance, Systems Engineering, and Software Acquisition Management. • Develop Standard Surveillance Operating Manuals for Quality Assurance, Systems Engineering, and Software Acquisition Management. • Design overarching performance measures to illustrate contractor performance in the areas of Quality Assurance, Systems Engineering, and Software Acquisition Management. • Develop a core training curriculum for improving Agency expertise in the areas of Quality Assurance, Systems Engineering, and Software Acquisition Management. • Develop a contractor systems review/audit program to assess contractor capability and performance in the areas of Quality Assurance, Systems Engineering, and Software Acquisition Management.
