FULL STEAM AHEAD! Powering Gifted Education for the 21st Century and Beyond Brian Housand, Ph.D. brianhousand.com kgtc.org Gifted Education has long served as a laboratory for innovative educational practices. While interjecting the ARTS into a STEM initiative may seem like a novel approach for regular education, gifted education has a long history of similar movements. STEAM and 21st Century Learning offer gifted pedagogy for all learners, but if this is the case, then what is left for gifted students? This session will explore answers to that question and demonstrate how we can fuel learning with STEAM by making the most of available technology and online resources to ignite the imagination and creativity of the gifted not only for this century but for the next.
