  2. Proposal The aim of our group is to transfer data wirelessly from one computer to another computer in the range of about 100 ft. We will be using the TRF6900A EVM, provided by TI, for this purpose.

Timeframe • 09-11-01 Getting ideas together for the project • 09-19-01 meeting with TI and assignment of members to subgroups. • 09-28-01 Calculation of various parameters of TRF6900A and selection of new microcontroller. Selection of the type of antenna to be used. • 10-06-01 Interfacing microcontroller with TRF6900A. Calculation of design parameters for antenna. • 10-14-01 Accomplish interface of computer with microcontroller. Start designing prototype for antenna.

  15. Timeframe • 10-22-01 Work with frequency hopping and error control. In-depth presentation of the design. Work on implementation of antenna switches • 10-29-01 Test antennas, finish code for programming microcontroller and Forward Error Control. • 11-06-01 Test the board with newly programmed microcontroller. Work on implementation of frequency hopping. • 11-14-01 Test the antennas along with antenna switches. Accomplish frequency hopping phenomenon and test the board for irregularities. • 11-22-01 Testing and Packaging of final design and preparation for the final presentation.
