F. C.SENIOR PRESENTATION CLASS OF 2013
What I will try to address today • Resources in guidance and the internet • Scholarships • Graduation • Transcripts • Your questions
GETTING FINANCIAL AID • Financial aid is a great equalizer. In 2009, over $168 billion in aid was awarded from government and private sources. Coupled with the wide range of lower-cost college options available, financial aid should make a college education affordable for just about everyone who decides to continue their education. • Type of school, Federal code, basic cost from previous year, financial aid picture, financial aid procedures, deadlines and contact information can be found on each school.
SCHOLARSHIPS HANDBOOK • Searching for scholarships has often been described as looking for a needle in a haystack. There are thousands of award programs available, but the typical student can expect to qualify for only a small number of them. This book is designed to point you toward programs that match your own personal and academic qualifications
BOOKS OF MAJORS • This book provides a complete, all-in-one source for what students exploring majors need to know: what the majors are about, and where they can be studied. • The 200 majors profiled in the first part of the book are primarily undergraduate programs, taught at the associate or bachelor’s degree level. They represent the majors that are most widely offered.
COLLEGE HANDBOOK • The Handbook is divided into four sections. The first contains guidance materials to help you plan for college. Four-year college descriptions are in the second section, two-year college descriptions are in the third, and the last section contains tables and indexes.
