  1. A good question is worth a thousand thoughts

  2. . Some questions for you: • Does chewing gum really stay inside you for years? • No. It is indigestible but it doesn’t have any magical property that allows it to escape the normal digestive transit. Three days is the usual limit. What is OK short for? The most popular theory is that OK comes from ‘ollkorrect’, a deliberately misspelled writing of ‘all correct’

  3. Why do onions make you cry? The action of cutting an onion releases a fine spray of droplets. Recent Japanese research has shown that these droplets contain an enzyme called lachrymatory-factor synthase and sulphur-containing compounds, which react to produce a powerful irritant called Syn-propanethial-S-oxide. When a droplet strikes your eye, you respond by producing a copious flow of tears to try and wash the irritant away.

  4. Typically there are 2 main types of questions: questions about yourself and questions about the world World How can I help my city to become more environmentally responsible? What does the sun look like from other planets? Why should I care about what is happening in Syria? Self • Should I get another pet? • What do I want to do after I graduate? • How do I help my friend who is feeling depressed? • What will I do with all the money I make if I get an afterschool job?

  5. If I give you a topic, what questions would you have about it?For example: Mental Illness

  6. Rules for asking questions: 1) Come up with as MANY questions as you can! 2) Do NOT change, discuss, answer or judge any questions 3) Write down the question EXACTLY as it was stated 4) Change every statement into a question

  7. Try to think of the more POWERFUL questions : Go DEEPER than the “yes / no” question!
