School Bus Service Life Extension Program(SLEP) History and Mission Established in 1997 in Limestone, Maine with an executive office in Augusta, Maine MMA’s mission is to produce high Quality equipment through innovative processes that are cost effective and achieve total customer satisfaction MMA has refurbished more than 15,000 vehicles ranging from HMMWV’s to howitzers to all types of engineer equipment

School Bus Service Life Extension Program(SLEP) PROBLEM: Long term federal, state and local budget constraints will result in fewer dollars for procurement of new school buses at historical replacement rates. SOLUTION: MMA developed a comprehensive program to cost-effectively extend the service life of school buses.GOAL: Off-set budget cuts by offering School Superintendents viable, economical solutions to impending school bus shortages.

School Bus Service Life Extension Program(SLEP) Statement of Work (SOW) Overview: Complete separation of the body from the frame (Conventional style only) Pressure wash thoroughly and perform further vehicle inspections, document accordingly Repair corrosion deficiencies (steps, cross ribs, wheel wells, etc) Blast, prime & paint frame Prep, prime and paint body. SLEP services will restore the body and frame of the bus to “like new” condition. Apply anti-corrosion undercoating to the frame and undercarriage

School Bus Service Life Extension Program(SLEP) • Repairs ≥ Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards for School Buses (FMVSS) • MMA has an internal inspection division and quality control department (ISO 9001:2008) that monitors all bus repairs • MMA will establish data tracking for the purpose of Life Cycle Analysis for Program • MMA will enter Vehicle Identification data into Transfinder software along with applicable documentation after completion of refurbishment
