Background & Objectives • Establish– What activity has been planned by Employability projects in the area of Equality & Diversity Training; • Establish whether or not there is a critical mass to work on a collective basis within the network on Equality/Diversity Training; • Identify target groups to be trained; • Identify type and mode of training; • Identify sources of accreditation;
Level of Response 11 projects where surveyed! 10 projects responded!! Response rate 90.9%!!! This tells us that most projects within the pillar will be involved in some form of Equality/Diversity Training intervention.
Target Groups • Emphasis on training at either end of the labour market continuum (participant /Employer) • Why is training targeted at service providers low?
Number of Days Allocated for Training • Participant disproportion-ately high • Low number of days allocated to employers – despite their high engagement • Again Service providers low
Accreditation of Training Participant – 4/10 Service providers – 3/10 Employers – 2/10 2 Projects identified potential accreditation bodies – NCCRI/FETAC
Employability Thematic NetworkJoint Activityin Area of Equality/Diversity All projects are interested in co-operation regarding the development of training interventions. 8/10 projects said they were interested inco-operative approaches to the development of tender documentation to secure trainers 9/10 projects said they were interested in co-operative approaches for procurement of training services - pooling resources
